OUR SPEAKERS & PRESENTERS

Senator C. Anthony Muse

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Senator C. Anthony Muse grew up on the streets of Baltimore City, and learned the hard way that going anywhere in life required courage, determination and a resilient spirit.

He never knew his biological father and was separated as a pre-teen from his biological mother, left virtually alone and on his own. Young Anthony was shuffled in and out of 11 foster homes and sometimes lived in the streets. Kicked out of three public school systems and told that he would never achieve academically, Anthony was on the road to failure until a United Methodist pastor who had eight children of his own took Anthony in. Anthony then found love, acceptance, stability, direction and lessons that would become the foundation of all that he would come to believe in and work to achieve. He learned that through education, hard work and steadfast integrity, life's obstacles could become life's opportunities.
